Department
KA Purchasing organization is responsible for direct and indirect material throughout KA globally. We are a centralized function, supporting our R&D and production organizations within the BAs. Within the Driver Controls Purchasing Team we are 18 persons with various roles. There is a team of Project buyers working as a global function with focus on sourcing for our new customer projects and future development programs. The Project Purchasing Manager is an important role within the cross functional team in DCS and within Purchasing ensuring all aspects of project purchasing targets are met.
Job profile
• Maintain a governance structure to corporate strategies and rules in order to meet objectives drive fulfilment of targets.
• Establish and maintain a supplier base, according to Global KA strategy, that can offer quality, delivery cost and technical performance at world class level
• Shaping sourcing strategies and sourcing plans to meet BU requirements.
• Analyzing supply markets; supplier negotiation and development of strong relationships with the supply base
• Involvement in Spec Development & Technology Implementation. Breakthrough value creation
• Responsible for ensuring pre & post contracts enterprise-wide are in place during project phases
• Responsible for the Execution of Purchasing New Product Introductions milestones on time. Maintain/Improve Contribution Margin level throughout project.
• Developing and delivering strategies that support operational, Quality, Logistics, Production, Sales and Engineering requirements, as well as KA policies and procedures.
• Facilitate the development of the supply base that is capable of meeting the future growth demands of the business
• Portfolio Management, Operational excellence; business vision; strategy and direction. Risk management, flow down of group strategies; building teams, managing resources.
• Provide BA specific input to commodity strategies.
• Participates as a key member of the global team to formulate policies, procedures, and strategies for the business and to direct it toward achieving its objectives.
• Undertake negotiations with suppliers in coordination with commodity buyers and in line Contribute to the conception of the quotation to the customer; participate in the project team
• Reporting of budget performance
• Submission of weekly/monthly reports and reviews for BU/Regional/Functional purchasing activities
• Staff development and motivation, discipline and compliance to the organizational and control systems
• Set strategic direction for purchasing and sourcing initiatives within the responsibility area
Candidate profile
• Senior Purchasing Executive with relevant industry, product and technology experience, within an automotive environment. Additional experience from production, R&D, QA and/or marketing Communication
• English (oral and written) fluent, one extra KA language
• Team Player
• High degree of personal integrity and confidence
• Analytical Skills
• Good computer skills including MS Office, strong in Excel. SAP experience is desirable.

Required Formal Education
• Relevant University Degree, preferably including Management, Commercial, and Technology
The position requires a lot of interaction with the different roles in the Purchasing and BA organization as well as externally. The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden and you will report to the undersigned.
