Position
The Project Planner will be a part of the Project Controls Department and will report to the Project Controls Manager.
The primary responsibilities will include:
• Implementation of a hierarchical project planning/progressing processes using the GVA preferred planning & scheduling system Primavera P6 e/c and associated Project Controls modules.
• Work to current Project Control processes and procedures.
• Implement the Work Breakdown Structure for the Projects and assist with the development of precedence logic diagrams liaising with all associated parties to ensure they are enrolled in the plan.
• Assist with the resource loading the plan and produce initial histograms for review / refinement.
• Assist with the Development of the planning baseline and associated planned progress curves and histograms.
• Assist with the progress network update in accordance with the Project Calendar.
• Provide input to the monthly planning/progress reports showing the status of actual progress against plan, and forecast completion dates.
• Provide input to the monthly updated progress, manhour and manpower graphics.
• Assist with input to change control process and the impacts change has on the schedule.
• Provide planning support to projects and bids.
Profile
The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include:
• Minimum 5 years experience in project planning, preferably within Oil & Gas Industry or similar businesses.
• Should ideally have an industry EPC project experience
• Engineering degree or Engineering background is a plus.
• Ability to work as a part of a broad-based team ? must be considered a team player and have a positive attitude.
• Must understand how the planning and scheduling function dovetails with other related disciplines such as document control, cost control, procurement, fabrication, finance & administration.
• Comfortable with communicating at all levels.
• Communicates fluently in both English and Swedish.
