Manage development projects which involves product development and engineering, project budgets, time lines, project resources etc. Provide technical support to the business units Services, Ship Power and Power Plants related to PCE Water Solution Products.
Position Description
• Develop and design technical water treatment solutions for Wärtsilä customers within Ship Power, Power Plants and Service.
• Master engineering with focus on cost reduction, functionality and design.
• Be a key person in terms of plat form building, product standardization and technological quality.
• Be responsible for development projects and handle project related issues such as project planning, product engineering, project budget, time schedule etc.
• Team management and coordination of resources within a development project.
• Validation and performance testing as well as field tests and pilot projects.
• Fulfillment of technical product specification
• Change management implying continuous product improvement and product care.
• Provide technical support to all business units within Wärtsilä concerning Water Solutions Products.
Requirements
Considerable experience in product management and engineering. Accustomed of leading projects and coordinate people. Knowledge in water treatment products, experience of commoditization processes or marine engineering is a benefit.
Good communication skills in English, Swedish both in writing and speech. Good computer skills. In your role as Project Manager Engineering you should have high team work skills. Some global travelling may occur within the position.
Educational preferences
M.Sc. or .B.Sc. in Engineering with appropriate orientation.
Experience
A few years of working experience in relevant field (project management, water treatment plants/products/projects or other complex projects or commoditization processes from similar industry or marine field).
