hela Sverige The main focus for the Research department in Galderma Uppsala is to synthesize and characterize new injectable biomaterials for aesthetic & corrective treatments. We work in close collaboration with colleagues at Galderma Scientific Division in Sophia-Antipolis, France; the world's largest R&D center specialized in dermatology. We are now looking for a Project Leader to lead Research projects from initiation to entry into formal development. The Project Leader position reports directly to the Research Director based in Sophia-Antipolis.
About the role
• Responsible for developing project strategies, goals and long-term vision.
• Ensures that robust plans and data, high quality reports and project evaluation tools are in place to enable decision-making by the governance bodies and project prioritization across the portfolio.
• Accountable for delivery of projects according to quality, time, budgets and resources
• Responsible for project communication, internal (main decision committees) as well as external
• Accompany and support the project(s) after handover to the downstream development team
• Ensures cross-functional coordination and collaboration across the Galderma sites in Uppsala and Sophia-Antipolis
• Create a dynamic, entrepreneurial and externally-facing team focused on the successful delivery of the projects, open to challenge, new ideas, innovative ways of working and where continuous learning and improvement are driven
• Provides high quality feed-back to team members and to their managers on their performance
About you
• You have an advanced degree in life science (PhD, MD, PharmD or equivalent)
• You bring 10-15 years of work experience in biopharmaceutical research and/or development. Experience from the field of aesthetic & corrective is meriting.
• You have proven leadership skills in managing projects and a track record of successfully delivering projects in research or development setting
• You have experience of decision making and leadership in a cross-disciplinary/functional, cross-cultural environment
• You have awareness of scientific as well as commercial, regulatory and broader strategic aspects
• You possess excellent communication skills; fluency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
• Leading our Research projects requires that you reliably deliver to project goals with high quality, on time. To achieve this, you need to be highly motivated, structured and able to manage tasks simultaneously with a strong delivery focus.
• As you will be working in close collaboration with the project team members, you should be open-minded, willing to adapt to changes and enjoy working with others in a collaborative way.
• In order to be successful in the job you also need to have the ability to convince, motivate, direct and mobilize a cross-functional team around common goals and objectives
