We are looking for a Project Engineer specialized in security to support the system delivery projects and sales with cyber security expertise. You will be part of The Power Grids division which is the world's leading supplier of power and automation products, systems and service solutions for the entire value chain from power generation to the transmission and distribution of electricity.
Network Control provides leading network management and control systems for planned and unplanned outage management, generation, transmission and distribution management systems, SCADA and process control solutions, and commercial energy portfolio management tools for planning, forecasting and running your day-to-day operations. Offerings comprise a broad range of solutions to address the most critical needs of utility and power companies.
Tasks:
• Implement and perform practical configuration of cyber security functions and products in delivery projects.
• Implement at test integration with external customer systemes and other control centers.
• Assist proposals engineers with cyber security know how.
• Communicate with the customer's cyber security specialists.
• Develop guidelines for system configurations and recommend 3rd party components from a cyber security perspective.
• Assist projects with design solutions from a cyber security perspective.
• Provide hands-on debugging of cyber security related communication problems.
• Check that the ABB set of Minimum Cyber Security requirements are followed.
• Assist and participate in assessments.
• Be up to date with the proceedings in the cyber security field.
• Cooperate with other teams in different business units and locations.
Requirements:
• Master or bachelor's degree in software engineering.
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge in: Cyber security standards, e.g. NERC-CIP; User Management and Access Control; System Hardening; Encryption and Authentication; Compliance Management & Vulnerability Verification; Network intrusion detection; Host intrusion detection; Centralized logging (SIEM); Whitelisting; Defense in depth; Malware protection; Security Patch Management; Trouble shooting Linux and Windows systems and networks.
• Must have people skills, the ability to work with both international customers and suppliers as a SCADA/EMS/DMS Systems Engineer.
• Enjoy working in a high-profile environment with constant verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel is must.
