As a Project Engineer (m/f) you will have to lead, manage and control engineering-related activities in the project. To ensure "lessons learned" and best practices are applied on projects and transferred to new projects. You are going to be the main engineering interface with the customer. The Project Engineer is the technical expert that leads and ensures consistency, robustness/design and functionality of the system throughout the project execution, keeps a watchful eye on product development activities. He or she anticipates and high lights technical issues with potential impact on performance and operability of the system.
The Project Engineer ensures that system configuration, functionality and safety are adequate in relation to the requirements and objectives of project activities. The Project Engineer is the overall technical leader in the value chain responsible for the system delivery. He or she is to facilitate major issues within value chain and towards other interfaces.
YOUR ROLE
• To coordinate execution of engineering activities, CCB, take decisions regarding technical issues, control against budget and project requirements
• Establish and maintain interfaces with other Engineering departments and with relevant functions (Project Management, System Owner, Research & Development, Procurement, Operations, Sales)
• Technical writing, produce and review technical documentation related to the systems, products and services.
• To read, understand and communicate technical documentation on both hardware and software
• Continuous optimization of Project Engineering processes/ tools/ behaviours by taking into account business requirements, customer needs, technical innovations, and new market conditions
• Monitor and control all product related aspects of the project consistent with the contract requirements and established project management procedures to attain established goals
• Ensuring that relevant skills are made available by the engineering function in order to fulfil project requirements
• Ensures the execution of policies as well as timelines and quality of deliverables.
• Applies acquired expertise to analyse and solve problems
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum Bachelor of Engineering
• Solid technical knowledge and able to easily understand the interconnection between SW and HW how they work together
• Strong background in railway signalling (Interlocking, ATC, ETCS, ERTMS, ATP, CTC/TMS, CBTC)
• Commercial awareness, strong understanding of concepts and procedures in own discipline
• Demonstrates strong communication and diplomacy skills and has the ability to guide, influence and convince others
• Open minded, easily adaptable, positive attitude towards new challenges
• Willing to travel up to 20% of the time both domestic and international
• English business fluent is mandatory
• Swedish language knowledge is considered an added plus
• Minimum 3 years of post-graduate proven experience
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience
