Program Analysis & Verification Manager
Within Research and development, we are part of Vehicle Propulsion. The section who guiding Volvo Cars faster than our competition into electrified drive trains and towards world class CO2 standards. Within Powertrain we intensify the work with next generation Volvo Engines, VEA Generation 3 and right now we are expanding our team and looking for a Program Analysis & Verification Manager (PVM), who will take a role as a Project leader and be challenged to manage all testing activities, conducted for powertrain within this program. The work will include managing all related testobjects, rigs and as well vehicles.
As Program Verification Manager you will be part of the Volvo Engine Architecture (VEA) development team together with Unit Program Leader (UPL).
Main responsibilities
* Secure all verification activities are carried out according to plan with taking into account prioritization and optimization
* Secure all testobjects are used efficiently
* Ensure all customers have fully understand of which deliveries that will be made in aspect of verification results
* Ensure that all verification work is synchronized with other affected units (Chassi, Electrical, KB, Service, Manufacturing, Purchase, etc)
* Ensure the work is carried out according to our defined processes in related system (Lotus Notes, VQDC, Lab95, etc) and propose improvements on these
* Take a place in VEA Gen3 program management team and report to Concept and Unit program leader
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. degree in Mechanical, Electrical engineering, Mechatronics or relevant working experience
* Automotive experience and wider vehicle knowledge combined with good technical knowledge of powertrain
* Verification and testing experience
* Documented experience of program management and leadership
* Good understanding of Research and Development processes
* Fluent in English, written and spoken; Swedish is beneficial
* Driver's license "B"
Personal qualities
You have excellent leading skills and ability to build relationships and networks. Good communicational and social skills are especially important in this kind of roles. Further, you should have a strong drive, persistent and prepared to be a motivator also for the rest in the team and be at the same time a good team player. Well developed planning and coordination skills will help you to structure and organize your work, as well as your team's work. You should possess also ability to operate in a frequently changing environment - both in terms of technology, strategies and business set-up, in order to cope with agile ways of working.
