We are looking for a Production Engineer to join the Operations team at a small biotech company in Uppsala. The essential responsibility of this role is connected to manufacturing within the company's bulk production. This includes both hands on work as an operator (about 20% of the time) as well as documentation work but the main part of your time is connected to Engineer related tasks. This position also monitors the demand and adjusts the manufacturing volumes accordingly. The Production Engineer is responsible to report the defects during the process and forwards them further into the defects handling process.
You are an experienced laboratory production engineer with strong ability to learn and adopt new techniques quickly and who has good skills in co-operation and flexibility in changing situations. You enjoy working with high technology products and driving multiple initiatives at the same time. You want to develop yourself and the way of working. Prerequisite
• Laboratory experience focusing on liquid reagents and solution preparation, preferably around three years
• Documentation experience (SOPs and general QMS)
• Experience of work in Medical Device or Biotech industry and corresponding standards (ISO 13485, IVD)
• Hands on production experience
• Experience from interacting with other departments (Q, R&D)
• English, written and spoken
• MS Office
Meriting
• Scale up and optimization of manufacturing
• ELISA based assays and method development within that area
• Validation, emphasizing IQ but OQ/PQ is also of interest
• Revalidation and instrument upgrades including instrument responsibility
• Design transfer from R&D
• Lead role in audits
• ERP-systems
• Swedish, written and spoken

• Most likely from a large organization bringing the framework and structure but at the same time having an entrepreneurial mind where prestige and rigid thinking is left behind
• Leadership qualities with ambition to lead the group in the future
• Open mind and a willingness to contribute where it is needed, from routine bulk production to finding creative solutions for the long term strategy for the production facility

Tasks
• Manufacturing of bulk production according to specifications
• Monitoring demand to balance the manufacturing volume together with manager
• Work in close collaboration with R&D on Design Transfer of new product line
• Scale up and optimization of manufacturing
• Validation of processes and methods
• Work on improving and updating the QMS system together with QA
