To complete the newly formed PM organization we are now looking for a new Product Specialist for Communications Solutions. In this role you will be tasked find and nurture the best external suppliers and our Group companies (Westermo, Korenix), within the current overall direction from PM. You are part of the Product Management team and report to Head of Product Management.
The role and responsibilities
The Product Specialist (PS) Communications is the technical expert in communications solutions. You evaluate the available options and find suppliers with products that best fit our needs. You work in close collaboration with existing external suppliers and our Group companies (Westermo and Korenix) to move their products forward and with your deep technical knowledge, you influence the roadmaps of our suppliers to make sure we grow and develop together.
As a member of the extended Product Management team, the PS is heavily involved in program backlogrefinement and prep for PI planning and also plays a significant role in the planning event itself. Before the planning event, the PS updates the supplier roadmap and typically reviews and contributes to the program Vision, Roadmap, and content presentations.
With input fromSystem Architect/Engineering and PM, the PS has the primary responsibility for building, editing, and maintaining the technical relationship with supplier. The PS reviews and reprioritizes the backlog as part of the prep work for Iteration Planning.
Other tasks include (but are not limited to):
• Accepting new products
• Participate in demo and retrospective as well as Iteration Retrospective
• PS works with suppliers to understand their roadmap and try to influence with clear requirements in line with the larger value stream vision
The successful applicant
We are looking for an internal candidate for the PS Communication role. Most likely you have not got previous experience from a product specialist role, but you have the motivation to learn. You have knowledge in and passion for Communications solutions including Switches, Routers, 4G, WiFi and network topologies.
In this role you will have extensive contact with external stakeholders. The role is collaborative and requires great communication skills and the ability to interact with people in a diverse environment.
You should be structured and have a natural strong drive and high level of ambitions.
