PRODUCT SAFETY & LIABILITY MANAGER
IN OUR PEDESTRIAN DOOR SOLUTIONS BUSINESS AREA
The Pedestrian Door Solutions Business Area focuses on the efficient flow of goods and vehicles. With a complete portfolio of pedestrian door solutions under the Besam product brand and an extensive service and maintenance offer, we help customers ensure reliable, safe and energy efficient operations.
Responsibilities and challenges:
• Participate in international and national standardization committees
• Find and inform about worldwide applicable product regulatory requirements/standards
• Handle, monitor and inform about 3rd party tests and approvals
• Provide continuous training for all employees within the Product Development Organization
• Propose measures to ensure that the existing product portfolio as well as new products fulfil all regulatory requirements, standards and ensure that safety related aspects are covered
• Assist sales companies with national certification
• Manage the Product Safety Network and participate in the Standards & Codes Council
• Be responsible for the compliance process
• Handle budget and follow up costs
The position is full time and based in Landskrona. A private situation that allows est. 50 days of travel is an absolute requirement. You report to our Product Support Manager. The Product Support group also involves Technical documentation and Product Data Management and belongs to the Product Development Organization.
Background and personal qualities:
You do probably have a Bachelor degree in Science or Technical high school and about 5 years? experience in the profession. You have a deep technical understanding and experience from working with electronics-based products. You are able to link legal requirements to technical solutions and are used to participate in international standardization committees/working groups as well as cooperating with 3rd party test labs.
You speak and write English fluently and have at least good knowledge in the Swedish language. Knowledge in the German language is a plus. As a person you are thorough, communicative (an inspiring educator) and a good negotiator. You also do have the ability to cooperate in a multi-functional global project organization.
