Do you want to ensure that Scania has state-of-the-art trucks in all applications, staying ahead of the competition throughout the shift to sustainable transport solutions? This is what drives Trucks Product Planning, and we are now looking for an additional team member to join us on our mission.
Every time a Scania truck replaces a competitor truck, the global CO2 footprint is reduced. By joining us, you will have direct influence to make this happen more frequently and to make the footprint reduction even larger. If it sounds interesting to be a part of changing the world to a better one - apply now!
Who we are
Trucks Product Planning as a team has the global responsibility to guide the direction of Scania's product development to optimize our customers' and Scania's profitability and make us the leader in sustainable transport solutions. We are the voice of our customers and sales force when Scania makes product development decisions. Our working environment is characterized by high integrity, a flat hierarchy and collective leadership.
About the role
As Product Planning Manager Powertrain, you own the product strategy creation and execution for the powertrain. Together with the Product Management team, Scania distributor network and R&D you strive to continuously identify the critical powertrain-related product demands that need to be solved in order for Scania to stay competitive and reach our sales targets. The result is a product strategy that you use to influence our product development project portfolio both in terms of what projects we start and in terms of how they stay on track.
You will work in close collaboration with a Product Analyst, who supports you with analytical and investigative activities. You share the responsibility with the team managers to coach and develop this Product Analyst.
The powertrain product area is of special importance in the coming years, in the transition from combustion engines to electrification. We need to make sure we have a competitive offering and generate profit on the sales that are not electrified. At the same time, we need to timely review our production capacity and make sure it is optimized across the whole Traton group. Finally, we need the contribution from more energy-efficient engines and alternative fuels to honor our Science Based Targets commitment.
Responsibilities
• Identify, analyze and understand the global potential of all powertrain related customer demands
• With support from the team, prioritize the most important demands for R&D to solve and set the long term powertrain strategy
• Together with R&D, initiate development project solving the most important demands
• Visualize the demand inbox and development portfolio to maximize transparency
• Continuously work together with R&D to secure fast time to market of the right development scope
• Represent KT/Trucks in all powertrain related development projects and forums
Who you are
To be successful in this position, you need to be a dedicated team player, service-minded and have a clear drive. We are looking for someone who is strong in communication, who can create a structure for everyone around and make clear analyses and conclusions. You can both draw your own conclusions and lead teams to draw collective conclusions. On a personal level, you strive to build wide contact networks with long-term relationships through good collaboration, communication, structure and trust. A great passion for the success of Scania's customers is a plus!
You most likely have a Master's Degree in Engineering, Management or equivalent. You are probably well into your professional career and are looking for your next big challenge.
If you think that you are suitable for this position, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. At Trucks Product Planning we celebrate difference and care deeply about diversity and inclusion - if you do not match all the requirements, please demonstrate how your passion, attitude and interest in the success of Scania's customers might compensate for this!
