ABOUT THE POSITION
As Product Owner, you will be a key figure in our organization, acting as a bridge between IT and our product managers. You will continuously manage the relationships with our product team and software developers and interact with other internal stakeholders like client relations and finance. You will ask the right questions to understand the product needs, translate them into technical ones and find the best solution together with the software development team, to bring business and product value.
You will own the development backlog and make sure that the teams are constantly doing the right things, and have a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support. You will make a huge impact on Benify's journey towards World Domination, together with a team of two other product owners.
YOUR MISSION
• You will have the responsibility that our Benefits Portal is in the forefront and of top-of-the-class quality by making sure that we are focusing on developing the right things.
• Responsible for developing and improving our products together with our development team and product managers
• Involve resources from other teams to make sure new features are seamlessly integrated into the company's workflow and operations
• Serve as link between our product managers and the development team, keep track of requirements and make sure the development process runs smoothly
• Take technical ownership of the product vision and continuously challenge standards for how things are working today to find improvements
WHO ARE YOU
Since you will have external as well as internal contact areas, you have great skills in building professional relationships. You have a business mindset and can transform business needs into product features. You are organized and can put pieces together to see the big picture and know what to prioritize to bring value to our product. To succeed, you also have the analytical skills to make decisions fast.
We believe you have the following background:
• You have a relevant education, probably within the field of engineering or IT
• Excellent knowledge in Agile product ownership and processes, such as SCRUM & Kanban
• You have at least a few years of experience and a minimum of two years as a product owner in a software engineering environment
• You have a great business, commercial & customer mindset(metrics, growth, usage, customer value, profitability)
• Experience with Jira (or similar systems)
• Experience from dealing with complicated customer requirements and have been involved in client deliveries
• Fluent language skills in English
• It's a big bonus if you are a scrum certified product owner
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Start date: ASAP, but we prefer "Ms/Mr Right" to "Ms/Mr Right Now"
Location: Gothenburg (although our HQ in Stockholm could be an option as well)
