What's in it for you?
In our department, Product Regulation & Compliance (PRC), we work with stakeholders both within and outside Volvo Cars in the daily business. We typically collaborate with international Type Approval Authorities (TAA), Suppliers as well as Volvo colleagues on a daily basis. We cover numerous aspects of the product, and we are constantly challenged from both regulative and technology perspectives. Our daily tasks are to plan, prepare, and secure On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) compliance onboard our products as offered in all markets where Volvo Cars are present. Besides the interpretation of traditional regulatory requirements, we are also required to demonstrate compliance by providing technical documentation and performing testing. If you are a person who enjoys working with people, genuinely interested in our operation and in the technology, all this wrapped in an international environment, you are most welcome to apply for the position of Product Owner (PO) - On-Board Diagnostics (OBD).
What will you do?
You'll support the Diagnostic Team actively in the daily work by ensuring that all relevant content for the Diagnostics Team is properly captured and processed. In doing this you have a proactive dialogue with the relevant stakeholders both within and outside the department (dependencies to other teams and POs) but also TAA as well as various Suppliers from all over the world. You cooperate closely with the team members to draft the specific objectives for the program increments and actively drive the team backlog and other important agile procedures and ceremonies. You are a person that has well-proven leadership capabilities, and good communication skills, collaborate well but are also interested in the daily operations and tasks to support the team and the deliveries. The main task of the team is to secure OBD Homologation and secure OBD compliance. Therefore, you need to enjoy working with the rather tight deadlines that come with Compliance Testing.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for an experienced and curious person, who has previously been working in similar positions. Experience from Regulative and/or Homologation-related activities is meritorious. You have experience in cross-functional collaboration as well as a strong sense of business acumen. To succeed in this role, it is an advantage to have working experience in engineering, testing, or regulative/homologation teams within the automotive industry. You probably have a degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience and good English skills in written and spoken.
Competence and experience are important, but personality is key!
Strong people management, collaboration, and communication skills are essential when working in a diverse and international setting. It is also important that you have the ability to continuously develop your own skills and provide technical guidance to other team members.
