Intraday Optimisation Nordic is a performance oriented department responsible for optimisation of Vattenfall's Nordic portfolio of production and customer consumption on all intraday markets. Thus we have a key role for value creation and the realisation of Vattenfall's strategy to lead the transition into a sustainable energy system by enabling further integration of renewable energy and new investments in fossil free power. The team is expected to be innovative, high performing and flexible - ready to cope with the rapidly changing dynamics of the European Power market.
The role as Product Owner Nordic Asset Development:
As Product Owner for Nordic Asset Development you will lead a team of 6 full stack developers and 1 Scrum-master aiming to develop, implement and maintain system and tools used for planning and optimisation of Vattenfall Nordic portfolio and for market access to physical power markets. You are also responsible for developing both the HOW (product vision) and the WHAT (backlog) as well as continuously keeping this aligned with internal stakeholders (users, business experts & other IT-teams).
You will report to the Director of Intraday Optimisation Nordic, but the Nordic Asset Development-team delivers support also to other stakeholders and the overall objective is to support BU Assets (including Intraday Optimisation Nordic) with systems and tools to enable maximising the value of Vattenfall Nordic portfolio while also coping with new market requirements.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Develops the "WHY"(Product Vision) and the "WHAT" (backlog)
Align with business and IT stakeholders, set priorities, and propose short- and long-term product goals
The core duty is to ensure the product delivers the most value to customers, stakeholders, and the business.
System ownership (compliance, IT security, audits, SLAs, etc.) supporting agile transformation and faster decision-making
Challenge established solutions and initiate new business improvements.
Qualifications
We are looking for a person with:
Relevant University degree of quantitative/financial discipline (e.g. Engineering, IT, Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics or similar)
A genuine interest for and minimum 5 years of experience from the Nordic physical power market
Knowledge of agile process frameworks, such as Scrum and Kanban
Experience from working in large complex organisations
Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in text
To succeed in this role you are analytical, structured, and skilled at communicating and adapting messages to different stakeholders. You have a good understanding of the fundamentals of the Nordic power market, a technical understanding of the tools we are using for market optimisation and trading, and enjoy the benefits and challenges from working in a large organisation with many interfaces and areas of collaboration.
