We are recruiting a commercially driven Product Manager with experience from product development. The Product Manager will work at Plantagen’s business area Complementary that today consists of a team of five.
The position is based in Barkarby.
Job description
As Product Manager at Plantagen, you are responsible to develop and deliver a commercially viable range, in line with the company’s strategies, that meets our customers’ needs within areas like functional plant solutions, lighting and garden accessories. You are expected to be on top of current and emerging trends
The position entails:
• Range and product plan (including pricing plan)
• Product- and range development incl. product refinement
• Project management including clear timetables and mile stones
• Proactively deliver to cross functional projects
• Range and product input to commercial team
• Competence plan to meet current and future needs
• Profitability analysis, competitive analysis, trend analysis, consumer insight, packaging and logistic solutions etc.
• Develop the role and its tools. Follow up and navigate / take actions or propose actions to relevant functions.
The job requires travel within Europe and Asia.
Qualifications
You have a university degree or similar education in purchasing and product development and a minimum of 5 years of experience from product development and international sourcing. The position requires understanding and experience from international buying processes, EU’s import and export regulations and assortment buying. In the role as Product Manager you need to have good market know-how and experience from customers- and sales oriented procurement strategies.
You will need good knowledge in MS Office and must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
To succeed in the role you need to have strong interpersonal and planning skills. You have experience from leading product development projects with strong commercial focus, as well as define and follow-through project plans including clearly defined timetables and milestones. As a person you are well-structured and always work proactively to stay focused on effective and profitable delivery.
