PRESENTATION
On behalf of our client, Brady Mobile Handset Solutions, we are searching for a Product Manager to the Marketing Organization.
Product Management focus on developing new products and applications to expand Brady's product portfolio, offering value added products and diversification from our competitors. The position is located in Kungälv and you will report to the Marketing Manager Mobile Handset Solutions.
Publiceringsdatum2007-10-25ArbetsuppgifterAs a Product Manager the overall responsibility is to identify and suggest development and implementation of new application opportunities within assigned product area leading to an expanded product portfolio of value added applications available to the sales organization.
Product Manager is a global function with international travel estimated at 45-75 days/year depending on location and product area.
Among the areas of responsibilities are:
• Inquire, study, map and analyze the market with respect to applications and products within assigned area in order to create the road map for future applications. Key is close cooperation with the sales teams who are closely linked to customer?s new technology groups where new needs are created.
• Strategically select new potential applications and present complete business cases to management inline with Brady?s overall goals and targets.
• Drive development of received IDEA application from concept to implementation, ensuring market launch success and making the developed product part of MHS product portfolio.
• Be the specialist in assigned product area and support sales with customer co-visits when so requested.
• Initiate start-ups of projects for new product and application opportunities and be responsible for the customer/market specifications. Working with the Project Manager ensuring that timelines are met and that needed capabilities are accumulated to meet requirements. Participate in the project team as the receiver of the information and know how coming out of the project.
• Initiate, plan and conduct trainings and educations to meet the internal needs from production, sales and marketing and other parts of the organization.
• Coordinate information and activities and report to the Marketing Manager according to applicable routines (monthly reports, project reports, etc.).
• Communicate relevant feedback from markets, suppliers and other sources of information to appropriate colleagues and departments internally.
ErfarenhetQualifications and characteristics:
• Technical University degree, supplementary training in finance is highly valued
• Experience in business development, sales and technical development
• Extensive experience working with international companies
• Fluent, both orally and written, in English
• Market experience within the mobile phone industry highly valued
• Visionary, to see possibilities for new products and solutions to meet currently un-known customer needs
• Dynamic and analytic in combination with strategic competence
• Knowledge to understand the technical and market needs within the mobile phone industry
• Well established knowledge for investment analyzes, business plans, business cases and financial terms (ROI, IFO etc.)
• Self motivated and initiator
• Ability to act with great authority and empower others
• Outgoing with focus on financial results
