Do you want to contribute and be a part of a global team, managing and providing oversight to projects associated with currently marketed OTC products within the manufacturing environment? To work in global cross functional project teams providing expertise in formulation, tech transfer and process improvements among other things. Then perhaps this is the next step for you.
Main duties:
As a Principal Scientist you will work in the Global Technical Operations (GTO) OTC organization with various projects such as reformulation, process changes, technical transfers, compliance issues and issues connected to production needing technical input. You will act as a Technical lead in projects needing technical development or input. As this is a global organization, so are your partners and colleagues such as PM, QA, RA and procurement.
There is a great spirit of collaboration in the team, even if you mainly drive your projects independently from the GTO perspective.
Some of you assignments more in detail are:
• Assist in GTO projects by planning, executing, evaluating and documenting formulation and process development trials.
• Source, sample, handle and document raw materials, intermediates and products
• Manufacturing trouble shooting
• Reformulation
• Manufacturing Site Transfer
• Raw material evaluation and qualification
• Process improvement and validation
• Support implementation of Cost improvement and business continuity plans
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role we believe that you have worked at least five years within R&D, scale-up and/or full-scale manufacturing within the OTC and pharmaceutical industry. You have a BSc or MSC within relevant chemistry or pharmaceutical area. Your knowledge is wide in pharmaceutical dosage forms, especially solids formulation. You are fluent in English both orally and in writing.
You enjoy collaborating and building relationships in your daily work, both in person and virtually as most of your contacts will be global. To flourish in the role we believe that you enjoy a high pace environment, where shifting focus, prioritizing and being pragmatic comes natural to you. You enjoy leading teams, as well as being the technical expert all along driving projects forward and delivering results. As a person you are humble and curious.
It is preferred that you have experience and knowledge in Tech Transfer and that you have experience from a global organization with several manufacturing sites.
