hela Sverige As a Press Test Specialist you will be responsible to promote and showcase Volvo Trucks products & services in a professional manner to the press and interested parties mainly external but on occasion also internal. You will perform test driving activities with journalists in different European markets and you will be responsible to prepare and maintain the trucks used for the tests. Furthermore you will be part of the team deciding on new specifications of trucks to be tested and to pre-test the trucks. You will also monitor and evaluate truck performance during testing and analyze the results with concerned stakeholders in close co-operation with the GTT Press Test Support Team & Volvo Trucks Colleagues.
The position is based in Gothenburg Sweden but requires longer periods of travelling abroad within Europe, so you need to be able to be away from Gothenburg for several weeks sometimes.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Secure that the test trucks are in absolute top-shape, prepared and maintained
Present press test trucks and their functionalities to journalists during press test activities
Supervision of journalists during press-tests
Make analysis and report from testing activities
Stay updated on new possibilities and improvements in way of working within press test
Support to other internal departments when requested, like for example VTEX
Challenge & Inspire markets in their development and use of the press testing offering
Help to share best practices between markets
Requested qualifications for the position:
To be successful in your new role we think you have the following experience and skills:
Experience:
Understanding about what is news-worthy for trade press journalists
High Volvo Trucks product knowledge
Minimum 5 years of truck driving experience
Good technical skills and ability to do hands-on preparations and repairs
Truck and product knowledge and interest in our products and the transport industry
Skills:
Communicative and pedagogic
Perceptive and a good listener
Like taking initiatives and being flexible
Helpful, supportive and solution oriented
Like meeting new people, show respect and act according to the Volvo values
Analytical
Volvo trucks business understanding
C&E - drivers license
Fluent in English (written and spoken). Other languages are a benefit.
