At the School of Business, Society and Engineering our students are studying to be for example Bachelors or Masters of Engineering, political scientists and business administrators. Here we have the research specialisations of Industrial Engineering and Management, and Future Energy. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with companies, organisations and public authorities in the region.
The Future Energy Center is one of Sweden's strongest environments in process optimization targeting the process industry and the energy sector. We develop innovative solutions and tools within the areas of energy, building and environmental engineering. The Future Energy Center has good relationships with both companies and recognized national and international centers, including several Chinese universities. The profile comprises nine professors, a further fifteen senior researchers and more than thirty graduate students.
Within the Future Energy Center we offer under-graduate education within the areas of energy, environmental and building engineering. We also offers studies at post-graduate level in Energy and Environmental engineering. Read more about our research on:

Position description
The research for this position includes wastewater treatment, biomass conversion processes, nutrient recovery and sludge treatment. One focus area is processes for adsorption of metals to biochar. Modelling of processes related to wastewater treatment and biomass conversion may be included in the research. The position includes experimental work, both in laboratory and on-site at our industrial partners.
The position may also include teaching in courses related to energy and/ or environmental engineering.
The position is a temporary employment of 2 years.
Qualifications requirements
The applicant is required to have a PhD degree in Energy engineering, Environmental engineering or similar with a research profile relevant to the topics included in the Future Energy Center, see
