Post-doc position (2 years) in comparative genomics in Populus

We are looking for a post-doc to be involved in sequencing multiple genomes of European aspen (Populus tremula). This project is a joint project between the Ingvarsson and Jansson labs at Umeå Plant Science Centre and collaborators at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The postdoc will be in charge of managing the genome sequencing project and will coordinate sequencing and post-sequencing data analyses (assembly, SNP discovery) with KTH. The project will also involve design of an SNP chip for P. tremula and SNP genotyping of our large collection of naturally occurring P. tremula genotypes. We are looking for a person with strong bioinformatics and data analysis skills. Past experience with Populus genomics and with comparative genomics is considered a great advantage.
To qualify for the position you should have a PhD degree or equivalent, preferably not more than three years old. Your application, in English, must include a short summary (max 1 page) of your previous experience, a short description (max. 1 page) of how you could contribute to the research, a curriculum vitae with a list of publications, and names and contact details of three references.
