The Machine Directorate at the European Spallation Source Eric in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a PIM Support Engineer.

Description of division
The Engineering and Integration Support Division is the central technical division providing transversal support and services to the ESS project and organization. The existing division is divided into 4 groups: Design & Engineering; Integration; PLM & Process Support and Survey, Alignment & Metrology. The E&IS Division is:

• A service provider of engineers and designers for the ESS projects for in-house design activities as well as activities performed by collaborating organizations.

• Responsible for development and maintenance of the generic design rules, design processes including accommodation and maintenance of design systems and tools.

• Responsible for the management of the Product Information Management System, the integrated CAD-model (ESS Plant Layout) and classification and standardization of e.g. components and materials.

Description of main responsibilities
As PIM Support Engineer you are a member of the team responsible for the user support on both the PLM platform and in one or more of the authoring tools used in design of the ESS facility. These systems currently include 3DExperience (Enovia/CatiaV6), Aveva E3D plant design, ePLAN electrical design tools, Ansys and Dymola for analysis and simulation.

You will also need to make methods material, develop and participate in training of new users and in delivering update training to existing users on new functionalities.

Some of the users are located at In-Kind partner laboratories and research facilities all over Europe; you will need to visit some of these to deliver ESS specific training and support on site from time to time.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or information systems or equivalent experience is a requirement
Experience in working and supporting users in one or more PLM systems is also a requirement.
Experience in working and supporting users in at least one of the tools CatiaV5/V6, Aveva, ePLAN is a requirement.
Experience from Enovia and Catia V6 is very meriting.
Experience from more than one mechanical design tools and also additional CAD/CAE tools such as for building design and electrical design or analysis is meriting.
Experience in asset management and/or MRO mro systems is also meriting.

Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite.

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.

Start date
The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
