We are proud product owners for components, systems as well as complete powertrains. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. The majority of our powertrain components are traditional combustion engines, after treatment systems, transmissions and axles however the importance of e-mobility components is growing every day.

The Exhaust aftertreatment system (EATS) department is responsible for the global platform development of exhaust aftertreatment systems for Volvo Group's different product around the world. We are about 80 passionated and highly skilled engineers on a mission to reduce the environmental impact of global transportation. Together with our colleagues around the world we take full system responsibility.
Responsibilities / Main tasks
The team is responsible for the global development of on-board diagnostic (OBD) software functions in the EATS area, as well as for the calibration of EATS OBD on EuroVI heavy duty engines. Other diagnostic functionality such as fault tracing diagnostic functions for workshop technicians, logging functionality for preventive maintenance as well as data analytics connected to the diagnostic system is part of the team's responsibility.
As manager for this team you are also expected to drive method improvement and competence development around OBD to secure a robust diagnostic system for EATS. You will build a global network in the OBD area and over time develop a thorough knowledge of different OBD legislations around the world.
