Bleaching Chemicals is one of three global sub business units within AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals. We are the world's largest manufacturer of sodium chlorate and one of the largest producers of hydrogen peroxide. We supply essential chemicals to the global pulp industry and other selected industries from 24 locations worldwide. Our head office is located in Marietta, Georgia, USA and we employ 950 people.
Eka Engineering is the Engineering and Projects department within Bleaching Chemicals. Eka Engineering sell and deliver turn-key or part turn-key, chemical production plants to the Pulp & Paper Industry, and other industries, worldwide. Eka Engineering also handles investment projects for Eka Chemicals and some for other Akzo Nobel BUs. The PDMS Specialist will be located in Bohus, Sweden.
Responsibilities
PDMS- Administrator with the responsibility to develop Eka Engineerings mechanical designers in the use of PDMS aiming at reducing contruction hours, secure quality and optimize design. Maintain and develop the PDMS tools and Eka Engineering standards. Manage mechanical designers and PDMS users. Conduct 3D-design of chemical plants. Act as sub project manager for the mechanical and piping disipline in the project organization
Requirements
University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education. Minimum 5 years of documented experience in mechanical and piping construction in PDMS for the process. Strong communication skills. Fluent in English and preferably one other language. Ability to work independently as well as in a multicultural team.
