Job description and responsibilities
Intellectual Property is one of Micromuscle's most valuable assets. As a Patent Engineer/IPR Specialist, you will work close to our research and development professionals to identify and evaluate new inventions, as well as coordinate the filing and prosecution of patent applications until a patent is granted. Together with our management and our patent attorneys (Awapatent) you will develop our IPR strategies and license policies. You will be responsible for a substantial budget for IPR activities. Typical tasks at hand will be patent writing and filing, prosecution, patent and license strategies, prior art searches, budgeting and patent portfolio management.
Requirements
• You have a university degree in engineering, life science or chemistry.
• You have knowledge in the IPR field, especially about filing and prosecution.
• Preferably you have 2-5 years of IPR working experience either from industry or agencies. Experience or knowledge from the life science area is meriting
• You are fluent in English, written and spoken. Other languages are a merit.
You need to have a structured and thorough working style, enabling you to assess and evaluate information in a critical manner. As a person you should have the skill in "seeing" novel solutions in light of complex lists of design requirements and prior art references. As a person you have high working ethics, are flexible and goal oriented. You have the ability to effectively and concisely communicate to engineers, lawyers, doctors and business managers, abstract data and concepts.
