The group Legal Requirements & Verification within the section Powertrain OBD and Dependability is mainly working with legal requirements, requirement setting and verification in the last development phase. We perform emission and OBD pre-homologation for all markets and in all projects. OBD homologation procedures are getting more divergent per market, since the different countries set their specific demands. China is a growing market and consequently we have a lot of cooperation with the China organisation. Now we need to strengthen our workforce.
As an OBD Pre-Homologation Engineer you will perform the last OBD verification before homologation. The area of responsibility is to make measurements in vehicle and rig, analyse, summarise and draw conclusions from the results. You will also perform legal verification of OBD functions in vehicle after SOP. In the assignment you will also summarise certification documentation. You will work in an ambitious team and have a close cooperation with project managers, legal analysts, people working in the workshops, laboratories, and the homologation department. Therefore it is important with social skills and ability to network. We offer you great development opportunities within an exciting role.
Main responsibilities
• Perform OBD pre-homologation for all markets, in all projects
• Summarise certification documentation
• Perform legal testing after production start
Required qualifications
• Master of Science or Bachelor of Science, in Electro/Mechatronics/Applied Physics or equivalent documented experience
• Skilled in Matlab and Simulink
• Skilled software test engineer with several years of experience from working with OBD function development or calibration of diagnostic systems or significant education
• An asset would be good knowledge in emission legislation and testing prerequisites for emission testing worldwide
• Good knowledge in measurement tools: INCA, GGD-DHA, Scantool is meritorious
• Drivers licence (B-level)
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
