Our company offers trusted expertise and delivers sustainable results. This hands-on role is requiring strong communication, interpersonal and technical skills. You will draft, negotiate and secure contracts for subcontractors and clients. As an operation manager you have a strong commitment to safety and operate to the highest standards of ethics. Experience in inspection, sampling and analysis of major minerals commodities will be needed. This manager will lead and supervise subcontractors and assist our customers when their goods have to undergo a trade inspection by an independent party.
The most common services we offer within Mineral Division are cargo and vessel services, visual inspections, stockpile inventory, sampling, weighing supervision, hold inspections, draft surveys, analysis and testing. We offer the services on various products such as for instance minerals, iron ore, chrome ore, bio fuels, fertilizers, coal & coke and steel.
Development, execution and reporting to appropriate international standards and procedures are everyday issues. Since the Mineral Division has great potential to grow its market share it is important to have a strategic outlook and perspective. It is a dynamic role with travel being a natural part of it. We believe that you live in Gothenburg or in the surroundings. You will have around 20 nights away from home annually and will be reporting to the Managing Director for SGS Sweden.
Who are you?
As a person you are driven and independent and have an entrepreneur's way of thinking. You work in a flexible and structured way. As a manager you are proactive and result oriented and you are a great team player. You have the needed technical know-how from the minerals industry and have experience of negotiating on a qualified level. Meeting subcontractors and clients is a daily matter for you. This position will suit someone with extensive experience in the field of minerals and inspection. If you have experience from seamanship when it comes to loading and supervision of shipments we see that as a merit. We prefer that you have an education in geochemistry even though that is not a strict requirement. Fluency in both English and Swedish, written and spoken, is required for this role.
