We are now seeking a mechanical engineer to join our mechanics team within System Products at Axis HQ in Lund.
System Products is responsible for developing a wide and exciting product portfolio, which includes body-worn cameras, video recorders, microphone products, video decoders, sirens, and other system accessories.

What you'll do here as a mechanical engineer
As a mechanical engineer on System products, you will work on product development in areas such as body-worn cameras, recorders, microphone products, and other system devices. Much of your daily work is in projects where the project team consists of different functions and competencies. The length of a project typically ranges from 6 months to 2 years.
In the project, you work closely with electronics, firmware, and many other internal functions such as quality, testing, production, and purchasing. In the projects, you drive the mechanical development together with a few colleagues from concept study to mass production. These tasks include designing the product, creating prototypes, communicating with suppliers, verifying the product, and preparing the product for mass production.
To optimize the production of the design, you also have close contact with our suppliers around the world. The portfolio includes both large and small projects, and several of the product types we develop are new to us, so unknown challenges and opportunities for variation are promised.
In your work, you will also meet and work together with product managers, project leaders, line managers, and engineers from other departments and competencies.

In our department, we work with both mechanical designs, electromechanics, and several different types of manufacturing methods. We would like you to have experience or a strong interest in some of these areas (new graduates are welcome to apply):
• Knowledge of at least one 3D CAD system, preferably Creo.
• Prototype creation
• Mechanical engineering background
• Windchill/Creo knowledge
• Injection molding
• Design for production
• Product development in telecommunications (4G, 5G), Wi-Fi, or GPS
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
