Measurement Engineer Autonomous Drive

The department Maintenance, Investments & Metrology provide metrology expertise, lending of instrumentation, design and service of development tools for testing departments. The group Metrology & Instrument Support is the owner of all measurement tools at R&D. Our responsibility is to ensure that our customers are equipped with right tools and supported by our high metrological expertise. One of our new responsibilities is to support with the exciting area of Autonomous Driving.

As a Measurement Engineer Autonomous Drive you will develop methods concerning our development tools for the area and be a member of our own tool group. In this role you will propose solutions as well as bring support to define needs connected to the future plans of Volvo Cars in the growing area Autonomous Drive. You will build and maintain a wide personal network both within R&D as well with our suppliers. You are able to form your deliveries and to develop your own skills, both technically as well as in the area of metrology. As part of our team, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction.

Main responsibilities

• Develop measurement methods for Autonomous Drive
• Support stakeholders on our measurement tools
• Share knowledge with internal customers from R&D and members of the group
• Educate other test engineers

Required qualifications

• B.Sc. grade within electronics, metrology, or a similar education
• At least 1 year work experience from relevant field
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Driver's license B
• Experience from tools like INCA, CAN, LIN, Flexray, Dewesoft is meritorious
• Work experience from Automotive industry is meritorious
