The group Program Office & Quality is a part of the Driving Dynamics and Noise & Vibration Centre (DD and N&V).
The Driving Dynamics and Noise & Vibration Centre has the responsibility to ensure that the attributes Performance & Drivability, Braking, Steering & Handling, Ride, Driver Assistance, Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) and Sound Quality are supported in the vehicle programs, both in terms of customer and legal requirements.
Within the Program Office & Quality group we set up and work in vehicle programs from early program phase until production launch and co-ordinate and align all the departments attribute areas in order to secure and reach our program commitments. Additionally we work globally with Current Model Quality (CMQ) in running production. The team works integrated in all project phases, contributing to vehicle projects with recommendations based on analyses and guidelines in order to achieve target fulfilment of the Driving Dynamics and Noise & Vibration attribute in Volvo Cars.
Main responsibilities
* Leading and developing the Program Office & Quality group, including the employees located at VCC sites abroad, to enable maximum staff utilization, securing prerequisites and support including reporting results.
* Recruitment of new team members, mentoring and securing competence development for the team members
* Plan and manage the activities within the line organization such as operational development
* Ensuring implementation of processes to increase quality and efficiency within Driving Dynamics and Noise & Vibration Centre and secure best practice and standardization
* Ensure proper project staffing in vehicle and unit projects and including consultant on-site and bought capacity
* Recognize and reward good performance of employees
* Leading and follow up of the development work in all phases, mentoring and coaching the team to deliver in time to the right cost and quality
* Being an active member of the Driving Dynamics and Noise & Vibration Centre Management team
Required qualifications
* Master of Science or higher education in Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering or Engineering Physics or similar.
* Minimum 7 years professional experience
* Demonstrated leadership experience
* Knowledge in structural dynamics, engineering acoustics and driving dynamics
* Solid experience in vehicle development
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driving license

* Strong in communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills
* Highly driven and results-focused
* Excellent ability to build contacts, both internally and externally Volvo Cars and motivate / inspire
* Proven ability to drive change
* Business acumen
* Interested in the combination of technology, leadership & business
