hela Sverige The Competence Center for CAD/CAM is responsible for the development and operation of a joint global CAD/CAM environment within Sandvik Machining Solutions, with users around the globe. You will be part of an exciting and creative environment where work, to a large degree, is carried out in project form, often with a global character.
The Methods department supports product development of cutting tools in a global organization. As Manager for Method Development CAD you will be involved in improving the efficiency of processes from design and development to production. Ours is a dynamic organization with a wealth of diverse people and ideas. Key performance areas
The Method Development CAD department is responsible for developing company-wide methods and implementing them in our product development operations throughout the world. The aim is to achieve common working methods for our product developers throughout the world. This also includes training of users, and the department is arranging courses on a regular basis.
Key competencies for the Method Developer is a profound knowledge of our CAD system NX and a good understanding of product development methods and tools.
Currently, the focus in the process for creating design of press tools is on scheduled system maintenance and support for users. In the future, new press technology will demand new data and, consequently, further development of the system. This means using knowledge of our CAD system (NX) and system development skills to help deliver applications that are structured and documented, and that comply with the customers' specifications.
Your contacts will be in both product development and production.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a BSc or MSc in Engineering, with a focus on mechanical engineering, or who has acquired the equivalent knowledge in another manner. Experience from product development and/or CAD/CAM operations is advantageous. Good English skills, both verbal and writing, are also required.
You enjoy working with people and are a coach and leader who is driven by seeing co-workers develop. You are a service-minded and quality-conscious problem solver interested in improving working methods and making them more efficient. We are looking for someone with good cooperative competency and a talent for building and maintaining networks. As the work involves considerable contact with diverse parties, you must be communicative and able to share your knowledge with others effectively.
