You will have a leading others responsibility
When targeting the next generation products and solutions demands increase on the electrical systems, control systems and test environment. We are now creating this dedicated Electronic Hardware & Testing team to optimize our focus in the area.
You will lead the team responsible for electric and electronic hardware design, such as electrical harness, sensors, instrumentation, power supply components and systems. We develop solutions for both Marine and Industrial applications and maintain them throughout all the phases in the product lifecycle. The team contributes to roadmaps for new technologies and is responsible for requirement, development, documentation, verification and validation in product projects.
You will lead the team responsible for the test environment for the electronic control system and software, securing uptime and development of the test environment as well as methods and ways of working.
Tasks on your agenda can be investment for a new hardware in the loop rig, uptime of electromobility component rigs, way of working in the electronics laboratory, what person in your team is the best candidate to develop the new test method needed for fuel cell functionality and some points we have not even thought about yet, but you will bring to the table with your experience and curiosity.

You will work cross functionally with other teams within Volvo Penta, Volvo Group and suppliers. We believe that You have leadership experience and a keen interest in inspiring and developing people. You have experience within Electronic Hardware development and/or test environments for embedded systems.
You have both product and team performance high on your agenda.
You have the Drive to develop your team, the organization and yourself. You are the person who acts with a clear sense of ownership and you have strong networking and communication skills, English and Swedish. You have an academic education within the engineering area or equivalent work life experience.
The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
