Sandvik is moving forward into the future with the aim of growing at least 5% annually, of which approximately 50% will be through mergers and acquisitions. This requires exceptional and aligned M&A processes across the Group, and we're now looking for a true expert in the matter to join us as M&A Director for Sandvik Group - someone who just like us have the passion for innovation, wants take the lead and find new ways to solve challenges.
The location for this position is Stockholm, Sweden, and you'll report to the Executive Vice President and CFO for Sandvik Group.

About the job
Being Sandvik Group's Director for M&A, you hold a strategic position in our Shift to Growth agenda as you're the overall Group process owner and facilitator in the domain of M&A. You're committed to ensure overall process alignment across the Group, and you act as an escalation point to enable well-informed decisions and remove barriers in a speedy manner. As we embrace a decentralized operating model, our business areas and divisions own their strategies and execution. You engage to drive their success throughout the entire M&A process - from scouting, due diligence, target setting, negotiation, deal closing, integration and follow up - and you put the spotlight on revenue, profitability and tactical performance. You also continuously improve and refine our capabilities and processes in the domain of M&A by facilitating wider cross-learning and best practice sharing from regular trainings to coaching and mentoring and ensuring exchange among the network of M&A people across the Group.
In this position, you'll constantly be collaborating and interacting with our Executive Management and with functional experts, advisors and various stakeholders to bring all aspects to the table. Key for success is working closely with all divisions, and as we're an era of rapidly expanding our M&A activities, you'll initially be working very closely with our President and CEO to generate full mandate throughout the organization.
About you
We're looking for someone with a commercial business outlook and extensive experience from working in global M&A roles characterized by huge business growth agendas. You're the expert with thorough understanding of the full lifecycle of the M&A process, and you confidently navigate and bring clarity from end to end - i.e. from identification to integration. Naturally, we expect a relevant academic background for this job, and as we're a global player, you also need excellent written and verbal skills in English.
You have a tactical, structured and commercial mindset, as well as the urge for effectively executing and reaching set targets, and this makes it easy for you to prioritize, decide, move forward and walk in the forefront of establishing change. You translate agreed strategies into clear objectives, and with a communicative approach, you easily connect the dots to visualize the impact of complex matters and possible solutions. Your networking skills and collaborative personality, combined with the organization's trust in your solid expertise creates commitment, You're very confident and clear as you direct our growth agenda by resourcefully uncovering and considering information, making smart recommendations and challenging us to look at different perspectives.
