Assignment Description:
The Distribution Team is accelerating forward, taking Finished Vehicle Distribution to the forefront of innovation. The client is on an exciting path of transformation, working in a rapid global setting, and revamping the world of automotive as we know it.
As a key component of the global supply chain unit, the client ensure that the vehicles manufacture are delivered to clientele promptly and accurately. The client mission is to manage all outgoing transportation with cost efficiency and precision, serving the entire organization's needs.
Service Overview:
Craft a distribution network for a consortium of European markets, including Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, tailored for the seamless distribution of finished automobiles. This network is slated to be operational by the 1st of April, 2025.
Scope of Delivery:
The scope of this project encompasses the mandate to spearhead initiatives aimed at network optimization, spanning the ideation phase through to full-scale implementation. The objective is to refine the distribution framework to enhance cost-efficiency, service excellence, and environmental sustainability. This entails a comprehensive analysis of sales demographics, lead times, expenditure, and carbon footprint to identify and capitalize on potential enhancements and efficiencies across the distribution network.
Service Requirements & Competencies:
We are seeking to fill a position that requires a full-time commitment with a highly skilled individual who can perform a comprehensive analysis of costs, lead times, and CO2 emissions to propose well-founded recommendations. The ideal candidate will have:
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI, with a strong background in network design and engineering within supply chain management.
• An extensive understanding of finished vehicle distribution processes.
• Experience with network design tools, such as FICO, to optimize supply chain networks.
• Exceptional business acumen to understand and navigate the economic aspects of supply chain management.
• A proven track record of successful negotiations, underpinned by strong communication skills.
• Outstanding analytical capabilities, accompanied by meticulous documentation skills, to support data-driven decision-making.
• The ability to network effectively and build robust relationships, crucial for collaborative and interdisciplinary work environments.
• Experience in preparing sourcing materials, and the ability to work closely with procurement teams to develop sourcing strategies and select suitable suppliers.

• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of costs, lead times, and CO2 emissions to establish an effective sourcing strategy for the project.
• Research and identify new market entrants and network opportunities to expand sourcing options.
• Lead workshops with suppliers to explore and secure potential market opportunities as part of the Request for Information (RFI) process.
• Develop detailed technical specifications as part of the sourcing requirements for suppliers to accurately quote for network services.
• Employ data visualization techniques to facilitate informed decision-making for optimal network design.
• Maintain robust communication with all stakeholders, including sales companies, affiliates, operations, and management, to ensure collaborative success.
• Deliver a well-substantiated recommendation for the final network design and the selection of the most suitable supplier to operate the network.
