Scania Supply Chain Networks, OI, is a function within Production & Logistics. Our ambition is to become the leader within sustainable logistics and our mission is to globally develop, manage and optimize our logistical flows by building flows with minimal environmental impact, high quality and minimal total logistic cost.
OIP is the department within OI that has the central responsibility for the Packaging Process within Scania. We are a team of positive and ambitious individuals with mixed experience within logistics from Scania and outside of Scania. We have a high focus and ambition regarding sustainability and digitalization.
We are now looking for two new logistics developers to join our organization in two different teams, OIPD and OIPH.
OIPD - Packaging Network and Selection
Packaging Network and Selection is responsible for developing the Packaging Logistics Network, both short term and long term. We are now facing an exciting and important development step aiming to get full control of Scania's Packaging Processes and Network, which will save cost and lower the environmental impact. We are also responsible of developing the Packaging Selection Process to secure right packaging for each flow. To work with tenders related to transport of empty packaging is also part of our responsibility.
OIPH - Packaging Handling and Assortment
Packaging Handling and Assortment is responsible for the development and to maintain the Scania standard packaging assortment to assure that the company is ready for coming demands. We have high ambition to improve the assortment by streamlining it and focus on the right material choices to decrease our ecological footprint. We are also responsible for the packaging handling process, which includes standards and to manage improvement activities together with external logistic service providers that act within the packaging network.
Job description
As a member of OIP you will be a key player in taking Packaging logistics towards an more efficient and controlled process. You will work with identifying, initiating, developing and leading, improvement projects and assignments, both cross functional and internal. You will work with leading and participating in projects, but also work with assignments on your own. You will have a high focus on balancing sustainability, cost & quality through analyses and investigations.
Your profile
We believe that you have an University degree within logistics or similar. You have work experience from leading and participating in projects and handling problem solving tasks, with 3-5 years experience. Since we work with analysing a lot of data we see that you are highly skilled within Excel, Power BI or similar analytic tools. You are also familiar with Scania Production System (SPS). We see that you have experience from working with logistics development within Scania.
You are a positive, driven and communicative person with talent for connecting with people as you will work in a cross functional environment. You easily see the big picture, understand the details, see new opportunities and take initiatives for improvements.
