We are looking for you who are interested in participating in a global network of pre-treatment and electrocoat process specialists within surface treatment.
In your position, you will be responsible for the work on harmonization, standardization and ensuring best practice regarding material and process statements. You are the specialist function in ongoing process and development projects for the safeguarding of global strategies. In your work, you are also a support function for daily production to ensure KPI compliance. This means collaborations that may include trips to other units within Volvo GTO. You will also actively contribute to the development of the production engineering work within the department. Depending on your skills and personal qualities, you may become eligible for the position as Manufacturing Technology Specialist and then you will lead a global network of specialists in the above work.
The work is conducted in global and local networks based on close cooperation with Volvo personnel such as paint laboratories, technicians, production staff, production managers, maintenance, processors, designers and suppliers.
Qualifications:
You who we are looking for should be a college graduate engineer supplemented with experience in materials engineering issues and have many years of experience in surface treatment processes pre-treatment and / or electrocoat..
You get things done and have experience in project management.
It is important that you are genuinely interested in the interaction between human and process equipment.
You are a good communicator. You are interested in and able to drive change and are stimulated by challenges. Good language skills in English, in both speech and writing, is necessary as the group communication language is English.
Merits:
Knowledge of materials such as metals and polymeric materials. Chemical know-how in surface treatment, product knowledge and experience from surface treatment in the automotive or general industry. Leadership skills are also meritorious.
We look forward to experience from manufacturing industry, preferably from material, product and process change. If you also have experience with Lean Manufacturing it is extra qualifying.
