The cloud platform at Lime is crucial to our business and we want to ensure that we are building it in a future-proof, resilient, and maintainable way. We are looking for engineers with conceptual knowledge and understanding about how to build cloud infrastructure.
In our cloud everything is described as code and runs in containers on AWS. In fact, we have over one thousand containers running in our production environment. This is something we are immensely proud of.
What you will do
Building a PAAS - Platform-As-A-Service - As a cloud engineer at Lime, you provide a toolbox for the rest of the organization. Our cloud platform is highly dynamic. It is built with a focus on making it simple for our delivery organization to deploy applications for new and existing customers.
Continuous improvement - Work with continuous improvement by analyzing, monitoring, and forecasting our ops stack.
Future-proofing - The number of containers in our cloud environment has rapidly grown during the last year, and now we need to revisit the architecture of the cloud, to ensure that it can continue to grow at an even faster pace. We also want to investigate if it is possible to simplify our current cloud environment - maybe by utilizing more managed services or by layering the code in our containers in a different way? We want you to help us with this.

We are working in a small and dedicated team that believes in what we do. Pragmatic solutions to hard problems, a good mix of freedom and responsibility, and most importantly - having a great time at work.
We work close to the teams responsible for building our CRM software and product management. We also work with delivery team members and our CTO to make the right technical decisions.

- 2+ years of professional working experience in writing code and/or working with cloud infrastructure.
- You have a conceptual understanding of how to work with containerized applications.
- You have a conceptual understanding of CI/CD and know how to set up CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferably, hands-on experience from operating containerized applications at scale. (Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, ECS)
- You can explain the importance of configuration as code and you've heard about tools such as CDK, Cloudformation or Terraform.
- Experience from working with AWS (or another big cloud provider such as GCP, Azure etc)
