hela Sverige The Project Support and Administration Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Lead System Developer and IT Architect position in the Information Technology Division.
Description of division
The purpose of the IT Division is to provide sufficient, secure and cost-efficient IT to support ESS throughout its lifecycle. The purpose of the Information Systems Group specifically is to develop solutions as well as supplying maintenance of the developed solutions to the entire outreach of ESS and its affiliates. Description of main responsibilities
We are looking for a Lead System Developer and responsible for the technical stack of the ESS PLM platform (Dassault 3DExperience). Main responsibility and focus will be to oversee and actively take part in parallel development initiatives as well as troubleshooting the production instance. Typically this would comprise programming, code review, solution design and mentorship.
In addition to this, our candidate would take on the role as an IT Architect for Technology Architecture, concerned with:
GAP analysis
Building block design / application capabilities
IT industry standards
Application compliance
Interface to IT Operations (networks, IT infrastructure)
Systems Integration
Qualifications
We expect the successful candidate to have the following experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience with system development in general.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with system development of PLM, 3DExperience (Enovia) is a merit.
• Capability and know-how to oversee and support other developers in development and troubleshooting with root cause analysis.
• Experience and ability to adapt to different types of development methods such as lean, agile waterfall etc.
• Experience of working with system integrations.
• Experience and knowledge of implementing security related requirements.
• Experience of platform upgrades, specifically the 3DExperience platform.
• Ability to obtain a holistic view of ongoing and parallel activities and how they may effect each other from a technical perspective, as well as their impact on the production instance.
• Understanding of the full system stack and how the system should be tuned for best output, working proactively with refactoring and improvements of the system.
• Practical experience of working with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (eg TOGAF, Zachman) is a merit.
• Primarily: java, 3DExperience platform, tvc, tcl, mql. Secondarily: html, javascript, xml, Linux, .net/C#, web application servers (eg. Tomee)
• Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite and experience of working in an international environment an advantage
To be successful and perform well in this position, you should be highly cooperative and able to work tightly with other developers, project leaders, managers, analysts and system testers. It is important that you have an objective mindset when looking at development solutions, and that you can present your ideas in a confident way. You also have a professional attitude and can deal with the fact that not all stakeholders might agree with the decisions you make.
The IT Architect will join a great team that enjoys working together and appreciate sharing knowledge, ideas and a helping hand within the group. Within this position, you will be a mentor in the group, and should thus enjoy discussing possible solutions and ways forward with others.

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
