Volvo Group and the transport industry in the world is thriving at a higher pace than ever before. New customer and society demands require us to take responsibility for delivering new and innovative products at the highest quality. We 're at the verge of a technological evolution and together we want to shape the future of transportation. Do you want to be a part of it?
WHO ARE WE?
The Heavy Duty Engine Platform for AB Volvo is managed in Gothenburg and is used in many of the transport solutions offered. Our contribution is vital to ensure high quality products that meet our customers' expectations. As we are the main group for mechanical simulations in engine development in Sweden, we need to manage simulations of many different parts and systems. This means anything from a simple fatigue evaluation of a cylinder head to a forced response analysis of a complete powertrain.
Our group; Simulation & NVH (Noise Vibration and Harshness), consist of 14 Simulation Engineers and 4 Noise & Vibration Engineers dealing with physical measurements and analysis. The overall mission for our Simulation Engineers is to support product development with high quality simulations which drive design from durability and feature perspective. Our Noise and Vibration Engineers evaluate our new products from vibration and noise perspective and work in close co-operation with our Simulation Engineers to improve final design.
We are happy to say that we 're looking for a new team member in the area of mechanical simulations with focus on dynamics in order to strengthen our ability to meet the future needs. In our development of products we want to create engineering excellence trough simulation and you 'll be a key player in our development team.
WHAT CHALLENGE DO WE OFFER?
We offer a great place to grow within an exciting evolving environment at the same time as we develop fascinating products. We 're a global company and value diversity as a key to our current and future business success. Our core values are trust, passion, performance, change and customer success and we hope that you feel as connected to them as we do!
WHO ARE YOU?
We value that you are a dedicated and analytical engineer with a positive mind-set that want to be part of a high performance team. You 're a person that see opportunities, solutions and always strive for improvements. A high level of competence within mechanical simulation using finite element method is valued, as well as having a personal ambition to always perform better. As we 're a diverse environment where we work with many different stakeholders, your communication skills will be highly beneficial for this role.
In order to perform in this role you need to be fully proficient in English and have a strong theoretical education; Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar (M, F or V) with focus on simulation. Programming skills in Matlab or Python add value to your application.
We are striving for gender equality and encourage female applicants.
