Job role:
The Lead Engineer Technology and Supply Chain Management will be a new position based in Braås, Sweden which is the core plant and design centre.
This position will support and proactively work with Localization and Cost Reduction opportunities in Pederneiras in future and current projects in the relevant product lines and also support the manufacturing plant on a day to day basis in technical matters. Increased engagement from Technology and local presence is required.
Main tasks:
• Drive decisions on Trade-offs between different product and manufacturing requirements and solutions for machine features
• Review design to cost and Design to local supplier manufacturing capabilities
• Cooperate with the purchasing team and local suppliers to reduce Standard Cost Of Sales, SCOS, of products manufactured in Pederneiras, Brazil
• Actively support the additional localization needs for the relevant product lines
• Understand market needs and regional adaptations to increase competitiveness, while increasing profitability - Particularly FINAME considerations
• Interact with production technicians in order to implement design for manufacture or simple adaptations to existent plant processes and equipment, reducing SCOS
• Identify and evaluate technical concepts meeting project and product targets
• Deliver System and Sub-System Requirements, Including options and attachments
• Manage and follow-up risk analyses from a product perspective
• Manage and drive homologation and certification activities
• Promote regular VA/VE cross functional workshops including suppliers inputs
• Develop together with other stakeholders the long term localization and design related cost reduction roadmaps, report regularly the progress, roadblocks and mitigation plans

The position is based in Braås, Sweden which is the core plant and design center.
You will travel frequently to Pederneiras, up to 50% of the time.
We believe you have the following qualifications:
• B.Sc. Engineering or equivalent, Master?s degree preferred
• Knowledge and experience of product development in construction equipment or off-road industry
• Proven and long experience in production development and manufacturing engineering environment
• Deep Manufacturing processes knowledge and their impact to cost
• Knowledge of CE Supplier Market and Capabilities in Brazil
• Leadership experience
• Knowledge in Structural parts, Heavy weldments, castings, and other technical areas
• Fluent in Portuguese and English language both spoken and written
