As a result of our company's growth, we are currently looking for candidates for the position of a Lawyer-Contract Specialist. The person employed in this position will lead the provision of contract management services to the Local Business Unit in accordance with directives and instructions including Contract Management Instruction.
Your responsibilities
Ensure the portfolio of contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures.
Develop contract strategy based on Hitachi Energy's policies, customer requirements, and the overall execution strategy taking into account risk, pricing, scope, and schedule with the involvement of the sales team.
Identify the contract baseline and highlight areas of potential risk in consultation with the execution team and summarizing the most important contractual issues in a wall chart.
Ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects in portfolio of contracts.
Verify that both parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations.
Establish and enforce standard change methodologies in portfolio of contracts to identify changes and quantify the additional time and compensation due to Hitachi Energy per the contract, defines approval requirements and communicates changes to the customer.
Support drafting of Purchase Orders, Contracts and Subcontracts and ensure that relevant (sub) contracts contain appropriate contract terms to protect Hitachi Energy' interest.
With the beginning of the tender phase, analyze prime contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions and conflicts.
Start mitigation action before execution starts and seek advice from Legal to draft, negotiate and finalize agreements during the Sales and Project Execution phases.
Your background
Minimum 5+ years of experience in contract management or law firm of legal department or similar
Master's degree in Law
Extensive experience in Contract Management functions and processes in project execution of EPC energy projects or similar industrial plants based on FIDIC book or ATB06
Experience from working within internationally staffed teams and with international contractual partners
Solid experience from change management, claim management and contract-related legal issues and the possible effects in the relevant areas of responsibility regarding proposal stage and/or project execution
Behavior and dealing with foreign cultures (Ethical Conduct)
Ability to negotiate in English and Swedish language
Systematic and structured working style
