Octapharma has 5 production sites in Europe manufacturing human plasma derived products and recombinant protein products for treatments in immunotherapy, hematology and intensive care emergency medicine.
An opportunity has arisen with Octapharma OAB in Stockholm, Sweden, for a Junior Project Manager within the IBU (International Business Units) Project Management Group. The IBU PM Group in Stockholm is linked to the Octapharma Headquarter in Lachen, Switzerland. The group is driving cross functional projects (between development, production, life-cycle and marketing) in collaboration with different departments from different Octapharma sites and also external companies.
We are seeking
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager as a permanent position who is mainly intended to manage projects related to our recombinant FVIII product Nuwiq®. This person should be open to work with a multi-national and cross-functional team and needs to be able to prioritize and manage complex projects with a positive, pro-active, solution-oriented and communicative personality. Strong interest in biotech/pharmaceutical industry is essential and knowledge and experience in biopharmaceutical product development is highly appreciated.
The job
As Junior Project manager you will be responsible for the management of assigned projects and subprojects including all project management related tasks:
• formal project set-up (preparation of project documentation according to XLPM, time plan set up, definition of subprojects, milestones, tasks, dependencies)
• project follow-up (keep project in time, scope, budget)
• coordination and organization of Project Team and Steering Group meetings
• initiation and start-up of new subprojects
• project reporting (meeting minutes, weekly and monthly status reports, presentations)
The ideal candidate
In the role as Junior Project Manager, we will give you the opportunity to further develop your professional skills as project manager and will also support you in your personal development.
For a successful start in the new position, good prerequisites would be:
• a minimum of a Masters Degree in Life Science (e.g. Biotechnology) or equivalent work experience with 3-5 years in pharmaceutical or biotech industries
• ability to lead a large project team and coordinate multiple tasks
• self-motivating, goal-directed and able to motivate people
• time line-focused and milestone-oriented
• excellent communication skills in English and Swedish (German is an advantage)
• flexibility, open to new ideas and changes
• very good knowledge in MS-Office
