Teaching is through both Swedish and English, with English the language of the corridors. IES is one of Sweden's largest school groups at "Grundskolan" with 36 schools and around 25,600 students across the country. IES has grown steadily and maintained quality since 1993.
IES Eskilstuna is one of the largest schools in Sweden with nearly 1,300 students enrolled in grades 1-9 and approx 140 staff members.
We are looking to hire a IT pedagogue to guide and support our students and staff!
About you:
You're positive, proactive and work efficiently towards goals. You understand the value of technology in the classroom and you're excited about the opportunities technology creates for learners. You have excellent communication skills, which allows you to share your knowledge to guide and support our wonderful staff and students in learning more about ICT.
About the role:
This role is diverse and stimulating and you'll have plenty of opportunities to interact with different groups of staff and students. You'll work proactively to solve problems and guide development by hosting workshops and providing training materials that meet the needs of staff and students.
As our IT pedagogue, you're part of our admin team. To support you in your role, you're a part of the IES IT group which is hosted by IES Central Services and you have regular contact with our service providers.
Additional areas of responsibility include:
• Assisting with training new employees
• Updating and maintaining Chromebooks, iPads, MacBooks
• Ensuring the safety and security of hardware and wifi networks
• Primary contact person for our IT service providers
• Other duties include: evaluating web filter, network reports, storage audits, GDPR compliance, IT budget
Education:
Higher education (ie. university or eftergymnasial) and minimum two years experience working with IT
