This will be us - your colleagues within Engineering Database (EDB)
The teams in EDB - Engineering Database, manage several core solutions, necessary for the operations in GTT, GTO and the Brands. We develop, maintain and modernize applications in several portfolios, all dependent of correct and vehicle specific product characteristics. This means that beside IT knowledge, the teams also possess skills in engineering and calculation and a great portion of product knowledge.
We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both within Digital & IT but also with the entire Volvo Group. We want to encourage an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As an IT Business Analyst, you will be involved in several activities including stakeholder requirements elicitation, end-user studies, process definitions, pre-studies, modeling, and design ideation to find optimal and efficient solutions. You will participate in projects and enhancements activities aiming to create modern and innovative solutions.
Your responsibility will cover advisory and support to stakeholders to gather and identify their needs and problems, as well as research and analysis in order to come up with solutions to address them.
Together with IT architect you will document requirements and technical specifications. You will work closely both with business representatives and development team.
Key responsibilities
Acting as a business analyst in projects and runtime activities revolving around IT architecture
Plan your own work according to the delivery plans in the backlog
Work with several business stakeholders and delivery teams to find the right solution to business needs
Act as the link between the business and delivery team
Be responsible for the documentation of functional and non-functional requirements, as well as developed solutions
Adapt to changing conditions in an agile way with a strong customer focus
Supporting the team in requirements understanding
We are looking for a highly motivated person who has:
Experience from translating stakeholder needs into solutions and processes
Previous background as IT Architect is considered a great merit
Oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Skills and experience in process modeling, data gathering, research, and analysis to develop insightful conclusions
Visualization skills and experience in creating diagrams, process flows and mock-ups
Ability to prepare documentation of requirements and solutions in accordance with obligatory standards
Willingness and experience to work in a multicultural team and communicate with the team members, business stakeholders, and other IT functions
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and willingness to use Agile ways of working
