You are responsible for continuing to shape, manage and deliver the international future direction of Ikano Bank's Product Area for IKEA & Retail. You will secure an optimized product portfolio as well as a compelling customer value proposition portfolio per product line: E-commerce, Open Invoice, Retail Financing, and Private Label Card products (Store Cards).
You have a deep understanding of the finance/banking sector in one or more European markets and new developments, and work with customer insight and analysis using appropriate business and modelling tools. You will drive the business planning process within the Product Area in close alignment with the Commercial Development team, the Markets team and other key stakeholders.
You will develop and manage a team of Product Managers and specialists, and will report to the Commercial Development Director.
You are responsible and accountable for;
• Delivering great solutions and products for the international Product area IKEA & Retail through strong product propositions that support the delivery of the income, brand and customer satisfaction targets in the nine countries
• Wing to wing knowledge and TCO responsible for products in the Product Area IKEA and Retail, and actively managing the costs of the products
• Developing and maintaining the product portfolio to deliver on the customer value propositions towards the target segments in a profitable and sustainable way that is compliant with internal and external regulations and market needs, while also driving the standardisation and harmonisation of the product range
• Strong orderer role to secure execution power in the project portfolio based on customer and market requirements
• Managing the product portfolio for IKEA & Retail Product Area with end to end responsibility for the products, including securing day to day operation with delivery on time, quality and costs. And securing that key performance and stability targets are met, in cooperation with the Markets, Operations and IT
• Initiating and managing both new product developments and changes to existing products based on customer and market requirements
• Making products available for the Ikano Bank customers with excellent channel management, to secure efficient processes, advisory and delivery to generate expected income and profitability in our markets
• Sharing and Implementing best practice product strategies, in alignment with the Markets.
• Building relations with necessary strategic partners to secure the results, such as subcontractors and consultants
• Co-owner of the IKEA and Retail partner business line strategy and actively participate in corporate strategy work.
Required profile and qualifications
• Strong and proven track record of international product management within retail financial services and/or retail payments and acceptance
• Understanding of digital and technological impacts on the business and proven experience in bringing new technology-driven propositions to market
• Previous employment with a large retailer is a plus
• Fintech/start-up background a plus
• Experience with loyalty and rewards programmes and systems
• An academic degree (minimum bachelor or similar)
• Fluent in English.
