The department is responsible for engineering and operations of centralized real-time platforms,
infrastructure and services at Tele2. Amongst the responsibilities the department delivers Mobile Packet
Core (2G,3G,4G/LTE), Internet Core, Messaging services (SMS, MMS, etc), DNS infrastructure, VoIP/
SIP Services, Roaming services and IPX, Server and Database Infrastructure (including private clouds
and virtualizations), Governance and monitoring for the Tele2 group. The department consists of groups
with personnel based in Sweden and Latvia.
About the job
As Infrastructure Manager at Real-Time Platforms & Infrastructure you will be the department's initial
and natural contact point for infrastructure questions such as servers, storage, databases and network.
You will be supporting the technical specialists within the organization to create optimal solutions for
our business and bridge the gap between a system manager and the different specialist?s teams. This
means that you will participating in line activities and projects, and for some cases also drive these
activities for the department.
This means amongst other responsibilities you will:
• Be part of our team that creates IT infrastructure solutions for system managers and as a part of
related projects
• Act as the natural counter-part for the rest of the organization regarding IT infrastructure questions
• Together with Tele2 Operations Governance group drive improvements in operations in terms of
security and resilience
• Facilitate backup and restore tests for our systems, so that the systems fulfill our policies
• Lead improvement projects within the organization
• Be in charge for documentation, administration and monitoring of decisions regarding technical
solutions, as well as producing analyses and reports within the area to improve the technical roadmap
The position is based in Kista.
