We are looking for an Independent Safety Validator for our Rail Control Solutions Division to be based in Stockholm.
Your Role:
• participate in projects as the independent expert in validating the system implementation against its requirements.
• work with the project from the start-up to regularly give support and early judgements to guide the Project to a successful safety assessment
• contribute to decisions on appropriate methods and techniques (based on suggestions made by the Project, with focus on validation criteria).
• judge upon fulfilment of safety and functional requirements by analysing its correctness, completeness, adequacy and consistency.
• judge if the verification is or has been handled correctly and evaluate the completeness of these activities.
• judge about all failure and hazard handling as well as judge about all safety design and development methods and their results regarding safety. (Keywords e.g. FME(C)A, MTBF, FTA, RAMS, SRAC).
• work independently of the project and to be able to determine whether product developed for the project are sufficiently safe and fit for purpose
Your responsibilities:
• Write the Validation Plan applying methods and techniques according to company quality and safety procedures as well as CENELEC
• Perform validation activities according to the Validation Plan, based on reviews and conducting technical/functional safety audits
• Support and provide judgments to guide the project to assessment and arguing for the results of the system validation to external safety stake holders such as customer safety anager independent safety assessor, certification body and national safety approval authority
• Validate development, test activities and review Safety Case
• Write the Validation Report summarizing the system validation in the areas of functional behavior, performance, safety and reliability
Qualifications:
• Master degree level in Engineering
• a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience and experience with railway signaling is an advantage
• Excellent understanding of concepts and procedures within Safety Engineering and a good knowledge of development of safety critical integrated systems and entire project management lifecycle.
• Knowledge of CENELEC standards or Safety Standard (IEC/ISO) and European Rail -Traffic Management System standards and regulations.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience of Safety Analysis (e.g. FTA, FMEA, Markov), Safety architectures and CCF Analysis;
• Knowledge of Requirement engineering: requirement management and requirement traceability;
• Knowledge of configuration management;
• Knowledge of Testing engineering: Whitebox-Blacbox-, Interface- Component- and Performance tests;
• Knowledge of Hardware design, EMC, environmental conditions, redundancy, microprocessor,
• Experience of Software programming rules, structured programming, real-time software.
