We are looking for an HSEQ Manager to lead and enhance our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards within our Cathode and Cell Engineering and Manufacturing operations.
This is an opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of employees, protecting the environment, and maintaining the highest product quality. You will work alongside innovative team, influencing processes and strategies that will shape the future of our organization.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
Operations system framework
Close work with the head of Operations to establish a comprehensive management system that lays the groundwork for future ISO9001 and ISO14001 implementation and certification. This collaborative effort will involve developing strategies and frameworks that align with the requirements of these internationally recognized standards, ensuring our organization's commitment to excellence and continual improvement.
Review, develop, implement & update operational management mission, policies, strategy, mid & short-term plan and processes & procedures.
Accountable for developing, driving and overseeing operational best practices, improvement of environmental safety, product safety and compliance. i.e. planned maintenance guidelines, metal contamination, dust reduction etc...
Develop and utilize standard key performance indicators to monitor and report organizational performance to assure sustainable improvement on quality and actual safety risk reduction.
Develop regular cost consumption summary for responsible areas, especially on procurement & labor cost to develop short & mid-term OPEX plans.
Develop Q&HSE management standard and lead operation management, especially on process and product safety, hazardous material handling, dust zero and contamination-free.
Lead implementation of measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
Develop an HSE & QMS culture within operation
Monitor and report compliance status through internal audits and risk assessments, addressing areas of non-compliance.
Conduct investigations into allegations of misconduct, determining appropriate actions to address wrongdoing.
Engage with stakeholders including employees, management, regulators, and the public to promote transparency and accountability.
Continuously improve the management system and policies to address emerging risks, legal changes, and organizational growth. Technical leading work
Participate actively in design reviews, offering valuable feedback and insights to enhance CAM and cell manufacturing process.
Collaborate closely with project managers to comprehend high-level designs and ensure alignment with project goals.
Understand cathode and cell technologies trend and translate them into detailed technical development for process.
Technology discovery and evaluation, partnership building and benchmarking of CAM and cell manufacturing equipment vendors via close collaborations with Process Engineering and R&D teams
Provides solution, support, and training to Operations staff to ensure quality output.
Transfer CAM and cell process equipment trouble shooting skill and provide to solve chronic failures to increase in line yields and efficiency.
Continuous improvement of state-of-the-CAM and cell processes to optimize product quality & process reliability, production costs based on experience and knowledge.
Develop manufacturing standards, tools, processes, guidelines, etc.
Support commissioning processes from a technical perspective when needed.

What Were looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the secondary battery industry with a proven portfolio of completed projects related to battery manufacturing.
Extensive experience in CAM manufacturing processes, including raw material feeding, reacting, calcination, material flow handling, product packaging, dust handling, mixing/blending, and sieving.
In-depth understanding of cell manufacturing processes, covering electrode production, assembly, and formation.
Strong expertise in dust and contamination reduction strategies.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to working across teams and disciplines.
