Natural Cycles is one of Stockholm's hottest startups and the world's leading startup in research on contraception and fertility. Besides providing women with a life-changing tool to monitor their fertility, the application represents also a unique research platform which allows for revisiting many old studies and performing entirely new clinical studies.
We are looking for a Health Data Scientist who will help us drive our research and analyze our data - it's a unique opportunity to do research in a start-up environment. You will also work closely with the medical affairs, marketing, business and product teams by fetching and analyzing relevant datasets.
What you will be doing
Execution of statistical analysis plans. Use advanced skills in statistical analysis to conduct data quality checks, generate and report real world evidence data.
Communicate data effectively with internal and external stakeholders through multiple platforms, including abstract presentation at international meetings.
Development of new intended use (diagnostic tools etc.) of the app, together with the medical product team
Use data analysis skills to generate business insights and work with stakeholders to optimise their value to Natural Cycles and its users.
Perform urgent analyses with short turnaround times when required in order to respond to urgent business needs.
What skills and experience you should have
PhD in medicine, statistics, physics, economy, biology, or similar data-analysis-heavy fields. Alternatively M.Sc in one of the mentioned fields and at least 3 years' experience in a data-driven enterprise
Good publication record, preferably as first author
Excellent communication skills in (scientific) English
Good data analysis-focused programming skills in a relevant language (Python, R, SPSS, Stata), with some proven mathematical ability
Takes initiative and develops ideas, works independently and gets things done
Energetic, committed and driven team player with a can-do attitude and a goal/ output-oriented mindset
Solid experience of medical statistics, epidemiology or similar relevant field.
Experience of working in a regulated field, including authoring regulatory documentation and performing systematic literature reviews.
Programming skills in Java or JavaScript
Experience of machine learning techniques for statistical analysis
