Axo Group is a high growth FinTech platform company within personal finance. The company is pan-Nordic operating in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. Core product is unsecured loan brokering currently developing a broader product portfolio including credit scoring. Over the last couple of years Axo has acquired several companies in addition to rapid organic growth. As such Axo has doubled in headcount and now has surpassing 100 employees with ambition to double the coming year.

Our ambition is to further strengthen our top- and bottom line growth. A core part of the strategic ambition is to become a great place to work. This feeds into the mission of the new position as Head of People & Culture to develop a new and core part of our organization.

Mission and key purpose

As Head of People & Culture you will be responsible for our people organization and company culture & values, with the mission of making Axo Group become the #1 employer of choice compared to our direct competitors.

A core task is working closely with the Group Management Team (GMT) and CEO in particularly to translate Axo's high growth objectives into cohesive people strategies with focus on performance management and talent acquisition & development.

This position can be based in both Norway, Sweden or Denmark, and you'll report to our CFO Sverre Mehn who is based in Oslo.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Build Axo people strategy including talent & performance management and organizational development to support Axo's growth ambition and competitive advantage.

• Responsible for Axo's employee life cycle incl.

• Develop and implement pre/on/off boarding processes

• Develop and implement salary review and performance management process

• Owner of for Axo Employer Brand Strategy in the Nordic countries

• Responsible for Axo's Talent Acquisition plan and execution.

• Ensure competitor analysis related to Employer Branding and People & Culture.

• Decide and be owner of all existing and new HR & TA systems.

• Drive proactive initiatives i.e collaborations with schools and other platform as well as internal programs such as the Axo Academy, Axo Awards and Axo Gathering.

• Take responsibility for the learning & development processes for all employees as well as support and coach managers to foster a culture of high performing teams.

• Manage and report HR budgets and staffing plans including perform cost and productivity analyses.

• Serve as an internal and external spokesperson, ambassador and cultural champion for Axo's talent and people initiatives.

• Create and help drive a positive, healthy and productive work environment that nurtures and supports strong employee performance and collaboration.

Ideal candidate profile


Bachelors degree with relevant experience from a high growth company/industry and/or consulting firm.

• Experience in commercial recruitment and growth-oriented understanding for a tech company.

• Understanding of rapid growth in headcount, revenue and product/market expansion.

• Expertise in core organizational aspects such as workforce planning, organizational design, performance and talent management, training, and development, and setting up leadership coaching/development program.

• Knowledge and understanding of integrating different start-ups/tech companies from a people management and culture development perspective is highly beneficial.
