The position
In this role, you will be responsible for continuously improving the efficiency and accuracy of forecasting for the Content function. Furthermore, you will play a key role in providing an insightful and actionable analysis to support decision making.
As the Head of Finance - Content Forecasting and Studios, your responsibilities will include:
• The preparation and analysis of Content functions' monthly forecast, budget, and long-term planning.
• Provide insightful information and analysis for different parts of Organisation.
• Coordination and consolidation of Viaplay Studios monthly reporting and forecasting.
• Alignment with stakeholders to make sure financial prognosis is up to date.
• Support content approval processes.
• Drive content forecasting and accounting systems improvement project.
• Development and improvement of work routines and processes.
• Implement and monitor Viaplay Studios Internal controls to ensure compliance with Group policies and processes
• Ad-hoc projects and tasks
• Attend training and on own initiative develop relevant knowledge and skills
The journey ahead
You will be working within the Department of Finance and report to the SVP Finance - Content, Sports & UK. A crucial aspect of your role will be to collaborate with and support the Content function working very closely with both the programming and acquisitions teams. The Content Finance team is split between the UK and Sweden and this role will be responsible for managing one direct report
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced finance professional to cover this role for a minimum of 12-18 months whilst the incumbent is on parental leave. The role is very forward looking so extensive experience of budgeting and forecasting is essential. The successful candidate will enjoy working in Microsoft Excel but have the desire and ability to drive change in processes and systems to deliver efficiencies and improvements. You will enjoy business partnering and working very closely with the business.
Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:
• Great communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive and driven to improve processes and systems
• Organised and process driven
• Attention to detail
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks to meet all deadlines
• Strong people management skills
• Minimum of 5 years' experience
Bonus requirements:
• Passionate about finance and content
• Accounting qualification
• Microsoft Power B.I., Microsoft Dynamics, Planning Analytics and WhatsOn
• Experience in systems implementation and migration
• Experience in working in a TV and Media company across multiple countries
